Baylor College of Medicine (BCM)

Spent an entire summer with Dr. Susan Hilsenbeck and her group. Dr. Hilsenbeck is the statistician of record on a number of investigator-initiated multi-center clinical trials and leads several of the biostatistics and informatics focused resources at BCM, including Biostatistics and Informatics Shared Resource, Duncan Cancer Center; and Biostatistics, Duncan Institute for Translational Research. Dr. Hilsenbeck and her group allowed me to freely explore what all BCM had to offer. This opportunity is how I randomly found out about BCM Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) which indirectly led me to attend the 2019 International Astronautical Congress (IAC) for more exposure in the space industry.
